My Folk's House (Post Katrina)

A friend of my folks who has power and connectivity forwarded these photos of the damage. It's worse than my mother made it sound, but it's nothing that can't be fixed (and my mom is already sketching plans for how she might arrange things differently — maybe french doors from that part of the house down to the patio/deck).

It's frightening, but it could have been much, much worse, and while they're uncomfortable without airconditioning (or non-generator-supplied electricty), at least my folks know what they need to do to fix things. Most of the rest of my family that's down there (and way, way, way too many other people) don't have that ...
